Robert and Cheryl met through a friend in 2008. They both loved electronic dance music and beer and quickly became best friends. For the next few years, they spent many weekends together going to music festivals and getting to know each other better. In 2013, the night of Robert's birthday, he expressed his interest in Cheryl as more than friends and made his move. They started dating and slowly realized they were meant to be together. Robert proposed to Cheryl while they were on a "Beercation" in Portland Oregon.
Balboa Park is very special to them. Living only a few miles away, they frequently visit the Zoo and the beautiful gardens. They love the park so much, they decided to have Cheryl's best friend and Maid of Honor take their engagement photos there. They spent the entire day doing outfit changes and deciding on the perfect backdrops while chasing the fading sunlight. This photo was shot outside of the Botanical Garden in front of the Koi Pond.
Robert and Cheryl are getting married this May in Fallbrook, CA.
