Share your Love Story
Our story began when I was a senior on high school and my best friend introduced me to a nice young man named Todd. As time went on Todd and I dated, became closer, and over several years were a couple and even lived together. Seven years went by and the time came for each of us to go our separate ways, so we broke up, and each went on to have different lives. We each ended up in other relationships, and in time Todd had a son, and I a daughter. Seven years passed again and I kept running into Todd’s sisters, again and again. And eventually, ran into, literally not only into Todd, but almost over him at the Rosarito to Ensenada bike ride. I saw him at the beginning of the ride, and as he was wearing red shorts, I avoided every man in red shorts despite the fact that there were 10,000 participants. At the end of the ride, as I was approaching my ride home going down a steep short hill some guy was standing right in my way. I almost ran over him. It was Todd who had serendipitously stumbled across the same ride back to San Diego. Funny how life’s paths keep intertwining. We eventually started seeing each other, and finally got married, and blending our family. We chose Balboa Park to marry because it my favorite place, and is the most beautiful setting in San Diego. We took our vows in Zoro Garden surrounded by family and friends, and partied in Casa del Prado’s courtyard. My dress was a vintage 1920’s dress, but that is another story. Such a happy day filled with family and friends and memories. Every time we go to the park I recall these happy memories and smile.
