Your Pet's Rescue Story
About 6 years ago Iwas a volunteer with the then SPCA of Central Florida when I received a phone call about some Chihuahuas that were rescued from a puppy mill in Alabama I went to see the dogs and they brought in cookie who was completely shut down. She was terrified and motionless and scared. She had been in a cage for eight years doing nothing but making babies. I knew I had to have her. With love and patience it took about six months and her personality began to shine. her playfulness is contagious, everyone who sees her falls in love with her. I have a friend who only likes big dogs he staying with me since last August. when he met cookie at first he thought she was just silly but it wasn't long before she loves him he loves her he calls her his darling this is the effect she has on people Cookie is now over 13 years old she is blind in her left eye but she's the big Chihuahua in a small pond as you can see in this giant dog bed she has taken over she doesn't know that she is aging she still plays and runs and loves life Did she save my life six years ago or did I save hers? She has already been an ambassador at an SPCA fundraiser she loves the attention she loves people and loves to get a belly rub. In my mind in my house in my life and my heart she is already a superstar and always will be
