Your Pet's Rescue StoryLula came into our lives at the Pookie's Rescue Fest. She was the first dog I saw that day. I knew as soon as I saw her walk by in an "adopt me" vest that she was the dog for me. I looked around at all the rescue booths and saw a lot of great dogs, but it was Lula who was destined to be our new family members. She was pulled from Seminole County Animal Services by a small volunteer run rescue group. They attended events around town with the dogs to get them adopted.
Lula was a wild girl from the start. Whether she is nudging you because you stopped petting her, trying to find creative ways to escape the fenced in yard (luckily she stopped doing that) or barking at everyone who enters the house until they acknowledge her - she always finds a way to get noticed. But, she's also a sweet goofy dog who likes to cuddle and sometimes endure her mom's hugs. She's definitely brightened our lives from the start, and at 11 1/2 years old doesn't seem to be slowing down a bit.
