Story -
Lucky and I found each found each other right when we needed each other. On November 22nd 2013, a happy, scrappy black and white doggy came running up to me in my driveway. He had no collar, no tag, and when I took him to the vet, we found no microchip either.

We walked all around my neighborhood, several blocks, trying to find out who his owner was. He was so well-behaved, I knew he had to be somebody's doggy. We became instant best friends. It was like we were meant to meet each other. We kept looking for his owner until finally one day, one of our neighbors told me that the people who had been caring for Lucky had moved away and left him on his own. I could not believe that people would just move away and leave such a sweet and wonderful creature. I thought maybe it was destiny, as I had been going through a very difficult time in my life, and part of me had been wanting a doggy so badly.

Once I found out he was an orphan, I decided he was mine and I was his. We have been partners in crime ever since. Not a day goes by that I am not thankful and happy to have him in my life. I go out of my way to make sure that he knows that I love him and I will never ever ever leave him.

Last year, during a routine check-up, we discovered that lucky has a mild heart murmur. Luckily it has not gotten any worse, as he is now six or seven years old we believe, and he is becoming an older gentleman.

I thank you for reading our story, and I hope other doggies like lucky are found and given a chance. He is my sweet handsome little devil, my protector, my best friend, and I don't know what I do without him.
