Your Pet's Rescue Story
We had a few pet losses in the past 8 months. In December we got through Christmas with our "old girl" Calypso, a 20 year old calico we adopted from the SPCA. We owned her most of her life, so it was very hard to say goodbye to her. In March we found another cat from the Pet Alliance that we fell in love with, a 5 year old black male named Poe. He was beautiful and delightful in every way, just perfect as the new member of our family. Tragically he succumbed to a sudden heart attack less than two months after we adopted him, leaving our family heartbroken. With so many animals out there in need of love, we made our way back to the Pet Alliance to find our next furry friend. We wandered around for 2 hours, trying to decide if anyone would be right for us. When we went to leave I saw this little girl cat I hadn't noticed before. Just curled up in the cat room with her paws underneath her, being so serene,I petted her and something told me she was mine. She came home with us that day and our lives haven't had this much action in them in a long time! She is a combination of sweetness and lion, there is never a dull moment with her around. She has filled our home with fun and cuddles again, and I am truly thankful for her every day.
