Your Pet's Rescue Story
My name is Badger and I was left at the shelter with my siblings because there were to many animals at the house. I was scared and frightened by all the noise. I was much smaller than my siblings. I didn't know but around the same time I was dropped off, a little 15 year old girl named Maddy had lost her best friend Pepper the 15 year old Dalmatian she'd had her whole life. I was hoping someone would come and take me to my forever home, the shelter brought us to an adoption event. After a few hours a very pretty girl walked in and saw me! She pointed, and as I tried to look as pretty and big as my sisters, she said "I want to hold that one"! As soon as she picked me up, I licked her face frantically, I had to make sure she was super sweet. The volunteers who brought me there said to Maddy that I was the runt. I'm not a runt I'm a Chihuahua and terrier mix! Maddy told them her Dalmatian Pepper was a runt. She was holding me and kissing me when her mom asked her if I was the one. Maddy said Yes! That's when our adventure began. I've been everywhere, shhh don't tell the people at all the stores that I'm not a human baby. Thank goodness for my grandpa he takes me everywhere. When Maddy is out of town my Grandpa and Grandma take me to their friends, I have my very own pack and play! My mommy Maddy and my grandparents took me to the beach. In the photo you can see me peeking out of my wagon, with the umbrella in the background that provided me with shade and a nice breeze. I spent the day frolicking in the sand, running from the waves. I'm so grateful for my forever home and can't wait for more adventure!
