Your Pet's Rescue Story
We visited the Pet Alliance every week for months, but we agreed that when the right dog found us he/she would let us know somehow. When we first met Duke he leaned in for ear scratches, looked up with his kind eyes, and we just knew he was special. He came in to the shelter as a stray, so when we arrived home we made sure he was showered with toys and treats! At first he wasn't sure what any of these strange items were, but now he can't get enough play time. The squeakier the better!

Duke fills our home with so much joy. He greets us at the front door wagging his tail so hard his entire bottom sways. We nicknamed him "wiggle butt" in honor of this signature greeting. He follows us everywhere, even the bathroom, just to check in and make sure we're okay.

The greatest gift Duke has given us is unconditional love. He always wants to be close to his humans. He is most comfortable when he is sleeping between us. Our family walks and play time have brought us closer together. He truly completes our family and we are so thankful to have him in our lives.
