Your Pet's Rescue StoryHey, everybody!! My name is Jackson, but you can call me Jax. I am a happy little guy now, but my life has been a roller coaster of ups and downs. Want to hear my story?
It is believed that I was born so that I could be sold to make my first humans money. I was so young and I don't really remember. All I remember is being on my own a lot. As you can see, I was born a little different. See, I was born with a cleft lip and partial cleft palate. That's why my nose looks like it's a little twisted and my tongue always hangs out. I guess my first humans didn't think it was so cute so they tossed me aside and left me on my own. Thankfully, I was picked up by some very nice people who worked in a place called a "dog rescue."
There were humans who would visit the rescue to help clean rooms and give us homeless pups some love...I think they were called "volunteers." One day, I saw a volunteer lady and she looked nice, so I decided to walk over and introduce myself. When I walked up, she asked one of the other volunteers, "Who is this little guy?" The other volunteer said, "Oh, that's Jackson...he's been here for several weeks but he is always looked over because everyone thinks he's ugly." The lady scooped me up and we took a ride in the car. When the car stopped, she looked at me and said, "Jackson, you are home now and you will be loved and cared for for the rest of your life. I am your mama and you are my little man now. I love you."
Mama was right! I LOVE my life and everyone seems to love me. I also have a human daddy, seven rescued cat brothers and sisters, and another rescued dog brother named Parker! Mama and Daddy take me and Parker everywhere! We go to the farmer's market, the lake, camping, to the beach, and all sorts of other fun places. Sometimes when we are out, people think I'm so cute that they ask to take pictures of me! Can you believe that? Me, a dog who no one wanted because I was ugly, a celebrity!
If you vote for me and I win, I promise I won't let you down. I will share my rescue story with everyone and I'll show the world that all dogs matter and deserve love - even the ones who look a little different...just like humans!
