Your Pet's Rescue StoryWillow's story is one of destiny and love. I was looking for a high-risk dog when I found her story online in Citrus County, FL. A young stray that had already had multiple litters, extremely underweight, and (to top it off) had an untreated hematoma in her ear. After an amazing first meeting with one of the family dogs, she had a gas-filled ride home. Even Haley the Husky was holding her nose on the way home.
As the months have passed after traveling down Flatulence Lane, I believe Willow has been more of a blessing for me than vice versa. Putting so much energy into work 24/7 for so many years you can forget what life can be like when you slow down. Slowing down to play, walk, train, or whatever Willow needs in her life.
In the words of T.S. Eliot “We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.”
Willow has been the one to help me to 'explore' again. Taking the time in our lives to spend with family, my girlfriend & her three sons, friends, and (equally as important) myself. The best part is that she is now apart of it all.
Adopting an animal has been apart of my family's legacy since prior to my birth and will hopefully continue after my departure. Transcribing my awesome time with Willow through social media and other platforms will hopefully assist in helping others to make the amazing decision to adopt a furry family member of their own, experiencing this awesome form of love.
Thanks Willow!!
