Your Pet's Rescue Story
I found Anya the first Christmas that I moved to Florida. I felt sad being away from my family at Christmas and my husband said that we could get a kitten to cheer me up. She was in a rescue at someone's home and I had never heard of anything like that, but there were lots of cages with several animals. She was lucky, as she was mostly healthy, with just a little bit of treatable illness that many young pets get in shelters. But she really saved ME most of all. She was with me through the most difficult time in my life. Little did I know that in just a few short years, I would lose my Mother, Father & Husband within 8 weeks. Anya slept in my arms snuggled up to me every night when I felt so alone. She got me through the hardest days I've ever faced by snuggling when I had no human person to give me a hug. She'd do anything for me, including getting dressed up for my silly pictures and she could make me smile when I didn't think I had it in me.
