Your Pet's Rescue Story
We had just lost one of our dogs and were heartbroken. We had no intention of adding another dog to our family, so soon but, as fate might have it, myself and my kids decided to take a ride to the Pet Alliance shelter in Orlando just to see and pet a few lonely dogs. It was a hot day and we were just about finished when we saw Oscar sitting in the corner of his cage, hoping for a drink. We got him a drink and, while sitting with him, my son decided that he would adopt him.
We had, pretty much, determined not to bring him in to the house as it might be too difficult for my wife but, when we told her that my son adopted a dog and was taking him home, she wanted to see him. When Gail picked him up and looked into his eyes, her immediate words were "this dog is not leaving this house!" Oscar celebrated his 6th birthday with us, in June and this picture is of him the day we found him at the shelter. We rescued him but, he helped fill the hole in Gail's heart and he's been attached to her hip, ever since. I've always believed that owners and their dogs find each other. It's fun to watch when it happens.
