Your Pet's Rescue Story
Love Never Fails.....I can not describe the love that I have for Blue. She truly did rescue me. Two years ago, I was absolutely heart broken as a result of losing my first dog as an adult at 10 years old. She was the love of my life and she was my everything. I had been through it all with her. I rescued her at 2 months old when I was only Twenty two. She helped me through many hard times in my life and trusted me with every bone she had. When I lost her, I was lost. I ready many quotes, poems and stories regarding the loss of a dear pet. It was not until I came upon one that talked about how I could channel the love that I had for my late dog into giving another dog who needed a chance and that love just as much as I did. So after just 3 months, I hesitantly set out, and after several trips and a lot of emotions, I found Blue. As I walked up and down the kennel, wishing that I could take them all home, I saw this beautiful, sleek black mix. She seriously has these eyes that drew me in. I instantly asked to take her out to play and to see if her personality matched with mine. I remember just looking at her. I wanted a black dog because my late dog was black and they are usually harder to adopt out. I wanted to give her another chance and show her that she could trust me and be loved. I also remember that the employee said that she had a lot of energy and according to her paper work, she had been returned not 1, but 2 previous times. "I would love to give her the perfect home and make her a part of my family!" The rest is history. Little did I know that that energy would actually be a breath of fresh air. She was only about 2 and I love her spirit. I realized that I had had an older, sick dog for so long, that I forgot how fun a younger, more spirited dog could be. She is my companion for everything and I have delighted in our "firsts together" Her first time to the beach, her first time on our boat, her first time out at a restaurant or in a hotel or at Paws in the Park! It has been an absolute joy to have her around and when I look into her eyes, I know that she loves me and all of the fun that we have! We are both very fortunate and appreciate that rescues exist and the amazing people that that work there. She helped me to fill the void. And even though my love with always remain with each dog that I have loved and lost, we have given each other another chance to know love.
