Your Pet's Rescue Story
My very first pet was a Persian kitten named Jovi, my first love. The day of my rehearsal dinner in 2017, he became very ill for the 2nd time in his life. After spending $21,000 to save his life the first time, we weren't able to continue the exploratory surgeries he needed the 2nd time, especially since he was worse off. He was put down that day and we buried him in front of our wedding guest in my backyard. After that day, I vowed that I didn't want any more cats.....until Jasper and Rocket came along. The month after losing Jovi and getting married, we also lost our first child. I had a huge empty spot in my heart and after reading about Rocket having 3 days remaining at a kill shelter and Jasper's current owner not being able to afford his vet visits, it was a sign that I had found what my heart needed. 2 new Persians enter my home and my heart that year and saved me. They didn't come together but you can clearly see they are best friends. Neither had been around other cats before and I like to think by me saving them, they got to save each other.
