Your Pet's Rescue Story
We were looking for something small and elderly, came in to meet some friends and she was in the first Kennel. Gilligan was just over a year old had just weaned from her litter of puppies who had all been adopted; she was the only one left. Her smile melted both of our hearts and suddenly looking for “small and elderly” immediately turned into starting the paperwork for “1 year old pit bull Mama”. She wasn’t what either of us expected or dreamed of- but I could not imagine a second without her. We go on hikes around Lake Louisa state park, Kayak and hang out at restaurants. She’s truly the perfect dog. My favorite thing about her is her immediate ability to love, she’s taught a lot of people not to be afraid of pit bulls and for that I am forever thankful. The best way to make it through life’s storms is by having the perfect first mate.
