Your Pet's Rescue Story
I volunteer as an EMT for my local rescue squad and one night we were on stand-by for a live burn fire drill at our county’s training center. The firefighters lit the building and made it smoky to simulate a structure fire...then they heard the meows coming from within. There was a litter of 7 kittens in the building and the firefighters quickly got them out. The other EMTs and I gave the kittens oxygen to keep them alive and contacted a local animal rescue. The story was featured in the local news and made it on the popular social media page The Dodo. Once they were old enough to be adopted, my wife and I knew we had to take one since I literally rescued them! We could not be happier to have Ember as part of our family now!
