Your Pet's Rescue Story
Copper, I am proud to say, is a foster fail. She came to us as “Gypsy” in May 2015, rescued from certain death the next day, at a mere 6 months old. When I picked her up from the holding facility she literally ran to my feet and rolled over as if she knew this was her chance, she knew she was being saved. We had every intention of fostering her until the perfect family was found, and allow us to foster more, but she had other plans. She worked her way into our hearts with her adorable puppy brown eyes and love for everyone and everything. We didn’t realize how much we loved her until we got the call that there was an interested family. That day we submitted the application to keep her forever. She is now 3 years old, and the sweetest dog. We chose the name Copper because of her coloring, and after the dog Copper in The Fox and the Hound, as we believe she is part wirehaired dachshund. Her favorite activities include running til she can run no more in the yard, and sunning herself by the pool. We are so happy to be foster failures!
