As the longest feline resident at the shelter, Sammy was unsure if he would ever find his person. After his former owner left him at the shelter, at the age of eight, he was often overlooked in favor of kittens. However, just after Valentine’s Day in 2018, his forever valentine met him at an adoption event, picking him out as the one cat who wasn’t getting any attention. He was all alone in a cage at the back of the room, looking very sad and very lonely, but his new mom, and new best friend, loved him immediately. Now Sammy has a best friend for life, a partner in crime, and all the treats he could ever want! Now he can sit on the windowsill and watch the morning arrive, with his favorite human drinking coffee at his side. Now he has a cuddle buddy who loves him more than anything - and someone who will never, ever leave him. And Sammy is, without a doubt, the most loved cat in the world!
