Your Pet's Rescue Story
It all started when I woke up one morning with a gut feeling telling me, "I'm going to adopt a dog today!" It was all a blur - I left work at five pm, where I made my way to the local animal shelter and immediately fell in love with this spunky, hopefull spirit! Needless to say, we had a connection from the get-go!

Shiva (she-vah) is a pug/boxer mix, and four years young! Shiva was rescued from the Capital Area Humane Society in Columbus, Ohio, adopted at one year if age. She has a few quirks from her previous owners, as she was neglected, where I learned to help her through separation anxiety and proper crate training. I cannot tell you the months I went through bathing her everyday and scrubbing her crate, to learn to trust I'll be home for her to let her out to potty and feed her. Over the past three years, she's made quite a bit of progress, but it's always slow and steady process to get her to where she needs to be!

Adopting teaches so much, where I learned a lot about myself patients, persistence, trust, and to love unconditionally. All in all, you save them as much as they save you and it's a beautiful thing!
