Your Pet's Rescue Story
My name is Teenie Katz. Almost 18 years ago I was born with just one ear. My cat mom abandoned me in Gainesville Florida. I thought I was abducted by aliens for medical experiments but in reality I was picked up and taken to University of Florida for Operation Catnip - a Trap/Neuter/Release program where they spayed me and cut off the top of my other ear. I became a champion dumpster diver to find food but when I cut off part of my tongue on a can I decided I needed to find myself a home. I went to the Children’s Home Society where they do special needs adoptions. I figured if they found homes for kids maybe they could find a home for me. My missing tongue did not hamper my ability to speak, I speak ALOT! I cried by the door until a nice lady came out. I was very scared but she gave me some food. She picked me up and I bit her very hard but she took me home anyway and that is how I adopted my human mom. We have been together for almost 18 years, and lived in Gainesville, Orlando and Jacksonville. Even with my missing ear my mom has always thought I am beautiful enough to be a cat model. For my 18th birthday I want to give her a wine bottle with my picture on it.
