Your Pet's Rescue Story
In July 2015, my boyfriend and I went to a nearby rescue organization to "just look" at a different dog we'd seen online. While walking through the kennels, this tiny girl ran up to the front and stuck her nose out, dancing on her hind legs for our attention. Out in the play yard, she noticed a butterfly and flopped across the grass chasing it-- that's when we knew we had to have her! She came home with us that very day.

Crouton was very skinny and didn't eat well at first, and we soon found out she had an intestinal parasite that required several rounds of medication. Nevertheless, she has always been the happiest, sweetest dog I've ever met. She loves to play fetch and tug-o-war with Dad, meet new friends at our local dog parks, and snuggle with Mom on the couch. Finding Crouton at a rescue inspired me to start volunteering at the animal shelter, because every dog deserves a home, and every home deserves a dog as wonderful as ours. We are so lucky to love her!
