Your Pet's Rescue Story
My husband Jim had Multiple Myeloma and had finished his round of chemo. He told me he wanted a big dog that looked mean, but had the personality of a lamb. Pet Alliance had a free adoption after Christmas of 2014. We went on the 2nd day and there were hardly any dogs remaining, but the girls said they had just the right dog! Sure enough, Sweetie was our's and Jim remained chemo free for two years +! He loved her and she him, they were like glue.

I found a sign to hang on the wall that says, "We've been rescued by a shelter dog". It is sooo true!

Last October 14th, my beloved Jim succumbed to the cancer sadly, and I am so very grateful for having Sweetie to grieve with. She is my shadow and best friend, housemate ever!

I am very grateful to Pet Alliance for being a "no kill" shelter since Sweetie was there for six months before we adopted her. Also, I am grateful to the folks who gave her up. She is a wonderful dog.
