Your Pet's Rescue Story
During my junior year of college, I, like many young adults, felt lost and not sure what to do with my life. I have always had a love for animals, and I decided that it was time to adopt one of my own. One day after class, I decided to leave Gainesville and head home to Orlando for the weekend. Well, I decided to take a detour off I-75 and stop at the Pet Alliance, or the “good side” of the street as my mom refers to it. It was the best decision I had made in a long time!
There, I met Rosie, her original name being Squirrel. She was a slightly weird looking kitten, with a tail that was constantly in a curl, but after a few minutes in the room with her, I knew she was the one.
This was early February 2017 and the Pet Alliance was running a Valentines Day special on adult cats, lowering their adoption rate to just $14. As luck would have it, little Rosie’s ID paper was marked incorectly as an “adult cat,” and the Pet Alliance staff member honored the price reduction. I knew my coupon loving mother would love this tid bit, and I brought Rosie home that same day.
To this day, Rosie is the best $14 I have ever spent! I am so glad that I chose to make a pit-stop on my drive home from college and ended up finding my furever Valentine!
