Dog - My Best Friend Rescue Red
Your Pet's Rescue Story OK's journey began at the local humane society in Indianapolis, Indiana. We had lost our other rescue Tug, a year earlier and were struggling to find the courage to open up our hearts again. One morning my wife told me Tug had visited her in a dream that night and there was a puppy. Tug had told her it was "OK" and she awoke ready to start looking for our new family member and we already had our name picked out.
She went to the same humane society where we adopted Tug years earlier and saw this little furball in a kennel all by himself. Amazingly he was in the same kennel that Tug was in #13, which is our lucky number. Sadly when she asked about him they said he was already adopted but that he had several brothers and sisters available. She walked around for a bit then went back to #13 as they were putting his paperwork back on his kennel. She asked what that was and they told her that the prospective adopters didn't meet the guidelines so he was still available.
She grabbed the paperwork and called me. She put him on hold overnight and we went in the next day and brought him home. It was a cold snowy day in Indiana so I bundled him up in my coat the whole way home. He has made the journey with us all the way down to Florida and has brought us so much joy. His silly antics and faces he makes, causes us to question if he's not part human (case in point, see picture above). He truly saved us and even though his name is OK... he will always be anything but just "OK".
