Your Pet's Rescue Story
This is my girl Roxy, who I rescued from Orange County Animal Services 15 years ago. I wanted to rescue a dog who urgently needed a home and Roxy was on her last day at the shelter. She was so skinny and so skittish, but was very sweet.

Over the past fifteen years Roxy brought me so much joy. She was quirky, curious and loved to eat whatever she fit in her mouth. Her quirkiness was on display during her first visit to Pet Smart when she wouldn’t cross over the colored linoleum floor at the front door. She also provided many laughs when she would back out the front door, being too nervous to face the tiled floor in the entry way head on. Roxy was curious about everything and loved to watch people. Even up to our last days together she wanted to know what was going on outside her front door.

Roxy was very mischievous, getting into more things than she should have. She ate everything, including fire works, birth control pills and tile spacers. In her later years she was content to just eat mulch or to carry a stick on our walk.

Unfortunately old age caught up to Roxy and I had to say goodbye to her on July 6, 2018. We were 19 days shy of our 15th year together. While I know I’m lucky to have had so many years with her, I just wish there was one more moment to spend with her.
