Your Pet's Rescue Story
Our story begins 10 years ago. Annabelle was dropped off at a pet store rescue just before closing the night before we met her. She was 6 months old, emaciated, and covered with insect bites. My husband and I went to the pet store the next morning to pick up food and supplies for our other fur babies. As usual, my husband wondered off and I spent most of my time looking for him instead getting what we needed so we could go home. When I found him he was sitting on the floor with Annabelle. He looked up at me and said "what about her?". You see, I lost my ridgeback, Bogart, four years earlier and had a difficult time getting over my loss. In an effort to heal my heart my husband was always on the look out for a new pup, and I would always say "I'll know when the right one comes along". When I saw Annabelle my heartstrings pulled hard but I was still guarded. I agreed to take her home as a foster - and that is where my story comes to a close. Our family quickly fell in love with her silly expressions and loving soul. Annabelle was home!
