Your Pet's Rescue Story
Molly is my SIXTEEN year old German Shepherd mix. She was found by a coworker out in the street when she was about 3 months old… hungry and scared. After a bath and food and some love, my friend put up flyers in his neighborhood asking if anyone had lost her, but nothing ever came of it. He had taken the picture to work and showed us all, and I (who had 2 rescues already) jokingly said “how cute, I want her!” As he was still looking for the owner, and I was NOT looking for another dog, we kind of laughed it off. Well, less than a week later, he came to me and asked, “hey, remember what you said?” and I had no idea what he was talking about, so I said no. He reminded me that I said I wanted her and did I still want her? I laughed and said “noooooo…(while thinking about it)…okay” which was the very, very beginning of one of the best things to happen to me in my whole life. We are now (and have been since then) joined at the hip and heart, and do everything together. (We lost my other 2 dogs along the way, so it is just she and I, and the bond has gotten even closer.) She is a happy, healthy, thriving, gentle, smart, super-special dog and no amount of money could ever buy or replace her. She is my heart.
