Your Pet's Rescue Story
This is Baxter the Beagle, who we rescued 11 years from West Florida. Full disclosure, this picture was taken the day we brought him home - and the way I still see him most days! I’ll always remember those big little eyes gazing up at us just begging for us to take him home.

Little did he know he was going home that day; we found him and his siblings through an online rescue site and made the two hour drive to have our pick of the litter. Baxter was one of three and it didn’t take much time for us to fall for him - the shy little guy hiding in the corner. We decided within seconds he was our “little gentleman,” and he became our forever. He gave the best cuddles the whole long ride home.

The first couple days were hard though - he had a health scare at his initial check-up followed by nights of lonely crying because he missed his siblings. But we worked together to become a family, and he quickly fell into place as our first kid. He has since half-heartedly welcomed two human kids into our family, who slowly but surely became his best friends.

He’s the best dog we could ask for, so gentle and lovable with a family who loves him so. We couldn’t imagine our life without this incredible pet and are so glad we were able to give him a second chance at a wonderful life ❤️
