Your Pet's Rescue Story
My husband has an annual golf trip every year for his birthday. While he was gone, a friend and I went to the shelter to look at cats (she was interested in adding to her family). When I saw Billie I knew she would be joining our family. She was underweight, found wandering a busy part of town. I text my husband a picture of our new puppy and in his day drunk stupor, he seemed quite excited. Not as much a few days later when we went to pick her up and he was sober. He complained the whole way. Still upset with me, we waited in the waiting room as they brought her out. This tiny little thing. He made this sort of “puhhh” sound, like the exhalation of air. And he was done for. She is is best friend and the favorite of our two dogs. She was around 6 months when we got her and will be 5 soon. He has yet to go on another birthday golf trip.
