Your Pet's Rescue Story
Hi, my name is Pibe, and I have been with my furever family for 11 years now; they found me roaming on the streets of Orlando, FL!

When we first visited the shelter to make sure no one was looking for me, we were told that I was not suited for adoption through Animal Services; unfortunately, I have a congenital condition that makes me limp, had a bad ear infection, bad teeth, and a broken rib that didn’t heal properly. So, my only hope was that my previous owner claimed me back (I didn’t like that idea, why do you think I ran away?), or that my -now- Mami would foster or adopt me (I liked that idea better). Long story short, I went back home with her that day and have never left her sight since then (or has she never left mine?).

My crazy matted fur and my love for watching TV soccer games with my Papi gained me my name: Pibe; keep in mind that my last name is Valderrama! Don’t get it? Just google my full name... any resemblance is purely coincidental!

I am living a wonderful life with my Papi and my Mami. We love going on road trips, and I even traveled on an airplane once to visit my Mami’s home country, Venezuela; it was a wonderful trip, and I got to meet that side of my family. I also made great furry friends down there, but sadly, many of them are having a very hard time right now, so I make sure that my parents send them food and supplies regularly!

If I become famous as a Quantum Leap winery’s ambassador, I will surely use my new status to spread awareness about my friends’ unfortunate situation, as well as about the importance of giving all shelter dogs a second chance.

Hey, I am a living proof that adoption rules!

Although I am now a senior citizen with no teeth left (hence, every day is #TongueOutTuesday for me now), I still have big plans for my life. It is time for me to share my wisdom and to give back! I might have had a rough beginning, but that doesn't define me. My story is about love and resilience, just as all abandoned dogs’ stories should be... and what better way to celebrate our stories than being the image of a good bottle of wine! Every 'cheers' will add to the love and make a difference!
