Your Pet's Rescue Story
I was going through a tough time, having just lost my dad, when a friend from work suggested I get a dog. I had a huge void in my heart that was looking to be filled so I agreed. I have always had pets so I knew where to start looking. There are so many abandoned animals out there so I chose to rescue one. I found the pet rescue and started to browse and came across a picture of Clyde. Something immediately clicked and I had to learn more. It turns out Clyde had recently been returned to the rescue for behavior issues. But that did not dissuade me. There was just something special about this dog. When I went to meet him he ran past everyone and jumped up on me. It was like he knew me and had been waiting for me. He knew I was there for him and I knew he was there for me. We were destined to meet and become best buddies. Today, 6 years later, he is still my best friend and does not leave my side, except when I have to work. When I come home he still runs past everyone to come and greet me. He runs to me and jumps on me and lets me know how excited he is to see me. I am not sure what his behavior issues were that caused two families to send him to the rescue. As far as I can tell, he is the best dog in the whole world. His favorite activities include running around the park and meeting new humans. He loves wearing clothes and sleeping under blankets. He is a great snuggle buddy and excellent travel companion. His favorite food is chicken and his favorite spot is wherever mommy is. He gives bonus kisses for belly rubs and welcomes anyone to brush his hair. I am not sure who the true rescuer was, but it does not matter. We know that the rescue saved us both!
