Your Pet's Rescue Story
About our Greyhound…Marcie runs our household. We don’t care! She’s consistent, she makes us exercise twice a day by walking, never lets us forget breakfast and dinner, reminds us where her treats are and when we are to give them. Marcie has 3 beds in our house, one is in our bedroom. She reminds us when we stay up too late and it’s time to go to bed! She’s a couch potato! Although she’s a big girl, she’s dainty and knows just how to skirt around us in our humble home. In the morning she sits quietly on our deck while we drink our coffee. A natural squirrel deterrent, although you wouldn’t know it by how much fun the squirrels have teasing her. She keeps the squirrels off our deck and out of our plants…at least while we’re outside. Every year Marcie takes us to her annual “Greyhound Picnic” in Clermont. What joy to see 20 or more Greyhounds have the run of 10 acres and mix and mingle with their family of hounds.
P.S. We met our neighbors through Marcie.
P.S.S. Marcie is fast and rumor has it that she came in 1st once or twice on the track, but she’ll never catch a squirrel…it’s clear that she likes the chase more than the catch.
