Your Pet's Rescue Story
Sookie was 5 weeks old when he was found wondering in the middle of a busy neighborhood road. He was taken to a lady that the driver knew rescued cats. Sookie was checked out by a local vet and it was touch and go for a couple of weeks whether or not he could be adopted. He had some health issues that needed to be addressed first. I happen to be working with the cat rescue lady at a dentist office when she brought in a flyer looking for a new home for Sookie. My daughter and I fell in love with “Sookie” the second we met him. My daughter named him on the spot “Sookie” after a character in True Blood. Although he is on the shorter side for a cat, he is a playful, feisty 10 year old who holds his own against his younger brother, Benny the dachshund. He also has a brother, Zeus the boxer whom he loves taking long naps with. His favorite activity is sitting on the back of the living room couch and pouncing on whoever walks by. He loves to sleep by my head at night and has no problem jumping on my stomach to land on the bed! His favorite treats are hairball treats. He doesn’t like strangers and will hide behind the washing machine. Sookie is known to sit at the front window waiting for us to come home from work and chirps instead of meows.
