Your Pet's Rescue Story
After being born in a shelter Kona went to a foster family and then her first owner. Her first owner said she was too hard to walk and had too much energy. Kona never got long walks and spent a lot of time in a crate. I had been thinking about getting a pup for a few months and my mom saw a picture of Kona posted in her neighborhood saying she needed a new home. My mom had seen and met Kona before and knew she needed a better home. I decided to go and meet her and I sat on the floor to see what she would do. After playing with a toy and taking her for a walk we went back inside and Kona walked over to me and leaned on me and laid her head in my lap. So I always say she picked me!! And I’m forever grateful she did!! She has brought so much joy and laughter into my life and we love exploring and being outside together! Now Kona gets walks around our lake, beach days and makes friends everywhere she goes!! She spent so much of the fist year and a half of her life in a crate that you would think I saved her. But she saved me by choosing me and bringing her sweet cuddly playful personality into my world!!
