Your Pet's Rescue Story
Bodhi was found near the Florida/Georgia line when he was still a kitten. He made his way through the state, where it was discovered at the time of "her" spay surgery that "she" was actually a "he" who had already been neutered! He continued his journey through a couple of rescue organizations, eventually ending up in Tampa.

We had recently lost a beloved pet and weren't sure we wanted another cat, but after seeing Bodhi's picture on a rescue site I reached out to his foster mom...who lived over 100 miles away. After speaking with her we made an appointment to drive down to meet him a few days later, knowing very well that it may be a wasted trip. However, as soon as we walked in and saw him, I picked him up, and within 15 seconds we knew he had chosen us to rescue him and be his new family.

Bodhi is now nearly 7 years old and is just as adorable and loving as the day we met him. He's part Manx or Bobtail and has the cutest little cotton puff of a tail, earning him the nickname Bunny Butt.

He is a dog in a cat's body, and rushes to greet every visitor. People who don't like cats love him. People who don't like animals love him. He is some sort of mythical, magical creature who simply charms every person he comes in contact with. I tell everyone there is mandatory coat and bag check on the way out as there are so many cat-napping threats on him!

His favorite pastimes include head bonking, sleeping on his dad's chest, sleeping on his mom's feet, or wrestling with his sister Boo.
