Your Pet's Rescue Story
I found Onyx and his sister Pearl nestled in our backyard firepit 12 years ago. Scared and abandoned kittens they found their way into our homes and into our hearts. Onyx has had a tough life. He was diagnosed with Diabetes about 8 years ago and gets his daily injections twice a day. Last week he had all his teeth removed because of an infection. Despite this he is quite a love. He loves to " chill " on his favorite pillow as shown in this picture. He is the perfect candidate for the wine bottle label because just like a fine wine he has mellowed with age and he is a comfort to both my husband and I. Affectionately known as "Grandpa" now he can be found eagerly waiting for his next meal and his cozy blanket. We may have rescued Onyx and his sister years ago , but he has served us well by filling the role of one of our 5 fur babies ( all rescues too). We are honored to be his parents. Like the directive of some wines " chill before serving" that perfectly describes our onyx.
