Your Pet's Rescue Story
I contacted the FL Great Pyrenees Rescue after my Chocolate Lab passed away in 2016. I decided to foster a dog before committing to be a dog owner again. They offered me 3 dogs to choose to foster, including one w/ 3 legs. I told them I choose the 3 legged dog. I went to pick up Holly and they offered me another dog. I firmly said I came for Holly. They brought her out and she was hopping around. I thought ‘Oh my god, what happened!’ She was a working dog guarding goats in East Palatka. She lost her right, front leg at 6 mo. old when it got caught in a fence. I brought her home on a Friday and by Monday I called and told them I wanted to adopt her. That was over 4 years ago. It took her about 5 months before she would look me in the eye. Now, she is a regular dog living a spoiled life. I wouldn’t have here any other way!
