Your Pet's Rescue Story
We had a tri colored collie when our daughters were growing up. When he passed away at 11 years old, it broke my husband’s heart. He said no more dogs. He didn’t ever want to have to go through that again. (We had to put him to sleep.) Over 10 years later and after moving from Pennsylvania to Florida, I was really wanting a dog for company when my husband traveled for his job. He traveled a lot. He said “no” every single time. It took me another 10 years but he finally agreed when I found this guy at a flea market. I was told he was a rescue but my Vet is pretty sure he was from a puppy mill. My husband wasn’t with me at the flea market so I called him and told him about this adorable collie and I promised I would take care of him; he didn’t have to; I’d feed him and walk him and train him.
He has been part of our family for 3 years now and my husband just adores him. My husband doesn’t travel as much as he used to but when he does, Blaze is great company. And guess who walks him, feeds him and plays with him most of the time. Yes…my husband.
