Your Pet's Rescue Story
Star aka "trouble" as the shelter called her was adopted by me at about 4 months old Sept 2012. She was the runt of the litter and deemed "unadoptable" and needing special care because she was not social as a puppy. She came from an abusive home skiddish of everything, didn't bark, play, stayed in the back of the cage all day. It took her a while to warm up in her new home I had to hand feed her, took her some encouraging to play, but she now runs the house. She has come into her own and is sassy will "talk back" and "mean mugs" us and gives us attitude when we wake her up in the mornings to go to work (she hates mornings). She has become spoiled rotten to the core and loves every moment of it and has toys everywhere, treats (so many), and a barkbox delivered every month that she opens herself. She is great with kids and was previously taken as a service dog into hospitals and long term care units to help brighten up patients days. We also give back to the shelter yearly with toys and treats or bedding (covid stopped that a bit, but we sent via Amazon last year). She loves play time with other dogs, and is a total cuddler. Though she had a rough start to her life, she is definitely living it up now and has nothing but love to give to everyone she meets.
