Your Pet's Rescue Story
Being a proud volunteer at P.A.G.O for 5 years, there was only ONE animal that I just couldn't resist. During my 4th year, I was in a good place to adopt. I wanted a calm and friendly animal that could calm me down on stressful days and since I grew up with fluffy cats, I wanted to continue that trend.

While on a shift, I saw this handsome, huge fur ball in a top corner kennel and after spending time with this 4 year old boy, I couldn't believe people were passing him up for kittens! He was such an awesome cat and had all the qualities I was looking for! It took some patience and an agreement for the shelter to hold him while I went on vacation, but after a couple weeks, he was mine!

King is a door greeter, calming, chatty, friendly and happy presence at home beloved by all who meet him. He's smart too and has learned some basic commands like "sit", "beg", "down" and "shake"! King also serves as a helper occasionally when I take in a foster kitty and I'm considering getting him certified as an emotional support or therapy animal since he's so calm, and friendly.

Every day I have with this sweet boy is a gift. I am so fortunate to have this handsome fella that someone else gave up. Their loss was my gain and I truly believe that we were meant to be together. Those 4.5 years of volunteering and waiting were well worth it in more ways than one! Its rare to find a pure bred Ragamuffin at a shelter but it's possible and King is proof of that! I love my cat!
