Your Pet's Rescue Story
My son had been begging me for a dog of his own. When he turned 15 I decided that he was mature enough for the responsibility of caring for his own dog. I let my son search the rescue sites for a puppy that he liked. After about 15 minutes he burst into my room saying that he found the perfect dog. I took one look at the puppies photo and bio and fell in love too. I called the rescue, answered all of the questions and made an appointment to go and meet the puppy. We drove two hours to meet him and it was love at first snuggle!! My son, Scotty, couldn’t put him down, I’ve never seen him act so caring and affectionate. Scotty snuggled him the whole way home and chose the name Benson. Which I love because I call him Benny Bear. My son swears that if he were a dog he would be Benson. After a year and a half they are still inseparable. We adopted a little sister for Benson and they are the light of our lives. We’re still not sure who rescued who!
