Your Pet's Rescue Story
Reba was a long term resident of OCAS. Her original owner gave her up when he became homeless, and then she got adopted and returned 5 days later. I went to the shelter to talk to someone about partnering with them, and I was looking at their dogs while I was waiting and I saw Reba, and she was just a smiling pitty that wasn't letting the shelter environment put her down. I wanted to adopt her on the spot, but I knew I was going out of town in 5 days, and it wouldn't have been fair to her for me to adopt her and then board her somewhere immediately, so I said if I get back into town and she is still at the shelter, I was going to take her home. I already had 2 dogs, a big and a small dog, when I got to introduce them for the first time, they loved her, and I knew she was meant to be apart of our pack.
