Your Pet's Rescue Story
Cat - My Best Friend Rescue White
My precious Alan was born on Christmas Day to a gorgeous Tuxedo mom cat, Essa. The funny thing is that her name means "star". Things work in mysterious ways.
Alan was the sweetest of any cats I've met. He would meet me at the door every single day and greet strangers by rubbing all over their hands. He was like a little person or puppy - respond and come when called by name, carrying on a conversation with you by his unique meows, following you around, and would tell you if anything is on his mind.
One of Alan's quirks were to straddle the edge of the washer while i prepared the laundry. He would always be right where i was, sweetly rubbing his head against my hands any chance he got.
My original cats had a hard time accepting him. But he never gave up. When my other cats would fall asleep together, Alan would lay down a foot away and slowly pull himself on the couch or bedding closer to them. One day i was lucky enough to capture that moment in a photo.
Alan loved all, no matter what others thought - he had a big heart, figuratively and literally. :( At only 2.5 years of age, he suddenly couldn't breathe and was rushed to the Emergency Vet Clinic. It broke me to pieces - he had advanced Congestive Heart Failure, having a heart twice a normal size.
The vet techs and specialists did everything they could. But even on oxygen and various medicine, he continued going down hill. He really fought for his life the 2.5 years, masking that he was actually sick. That's how much of a loving cat he was. I miss him with all my heart! I love you, dear Alan.
