Your Pet's Rescue Story
Dog - My Best Friend Rescue Red
When I found Eli, her picture on the cage looked so happy and beautiful; but she was in a corner shivering and too scared to give me any attention through the cage. She was way too beautiful to let up, I passed her cage three times trying to get her attention, but she wouldn’t budge. I proceeded to get someone to bring her out to play with, and that sparked a change in her. When I got some one on one Time with her, she ran so fast back-and-forth, to the point that she started bleeding on one of her nails, that let me know she must have not gotten much play time wherever she came from. She was so happy, when I put my hands out she instantly would get scared and bend down, my heart hurts for her because I can only imagine what she went through. I left that day not knowing if I wanted to adopt her or any dog at that point. It literally took me just one hour, I came racing back to adopt her, she was up-to-date on her shots, and she was neutered, so I was able to take her at that moment. Her and I have had the best times since then, for some reason she’s really attracted to husky dogs and every time we go to the dog park and there’s a husky, she instantly becomes best friends with them. She loves running back-and-forth, she loves sleeping in my bed, she really loves whip cream from Starbucks, and of course she loves going on Car rides, because at the end of the ride they usually end up at the dog park which is her favorite place to be! Pit bulls get such a bad rap, and it’s so sad because she is one of the sweetest loving dogs I have ever seen in my life. She literally wants to play with everyone, she loves babies, she loves attention, and she’s just a great overall dog. My anxiety has gone down, my depression has Subsided, my health, and mental health, have really taken a change for the better since I brought her into my life. I’m so grateful for her, I don’t know where she came, but I’m happy I got to rescue her!!
