Your Pet's Rescue Story
Cat - My Best Friend Rescue White
We got Pepper from our local Animal Shelter many years ago. Out of all the cats in the living area of the shelter, she was the only one who approached us and immediately climbed into my sisters arms. When we got her she was too big for a kitten, but still not full grown and was very shy for the first few weeks in a new home. She had no clue how to navigate a staircase, so we had to patiently show her how to go up and down stairs so she could get to other areas of the house.
Pepper loves to spend time with everyone in the house, in particular my sister and her share the strongest bond. But she will warm up to everyone eventually. My favorite quirk she has is her nighttime routine. During the entire day, she is one of the quietest felines you will ever meet. When its time for bed, however, and my family members and I are still downstairs watching TV or something, she will meow until every person is up those stairs. Then, she will check on each person to make sure they are in bed. If even one of us is home late from work or a movie, she will be downstairs waiting for us and will escort us upstairs to bed.
Today, she is a happy, healthy, independent member of our family.
She is one of the sweetest, cuddliest cats ever and I cannot imagine life without Pepper.
