VickiYour Pet's Rescue Story
Molly is our third rescue dog from Suncoast Basset Hound Rescue. She was an owner turn in to the pound. Basset hounds are adorable, but people frequently buy them without researching the breed. Bassets are great family pets but they can be stubborn to train, they bark and howl and frequently suffer from skin and ear infections. This is why so many end up in shelters and rescues. Molly came into our lives as a foster, and we quickly fell in love. So did our other basset girl, Zoey. They are a bonded pair.
Molly doesn't share well with others, is always hungry, takes up way too much room on the couch, sheds like crazy, talks too much and according to my husband, insists on being called "Pretty." Despite all this, we love her to pieces! Molly said she would love to be on the label of a wine bottle because where there's wine, there's food. This low rider has never met a stranger.
We may never hear the end of it from "Pretty" if she wins, but we are willing to suffer the consequences to show our support for the rescue community. Molly would be a real rags to riches story!
