PaulaYour Pet's Rescue Story
At the end of 2014 we were heartbroken over the recent loss of our beloved pet Bella. Although her absence hung heavy in our hearts we thought that as now "empty-nesters" it would be a good time to do some traveling. However, in February my partner was called to jury duty at the Seminole Co. Courthouse which happens to be very close to the Seminole County Animal Shelter. She was given an hour break for lunch and found herself drawn to the Shelter. That is where she discovered our Sophie. Of course she had to return to jury duty that day but came home very excited about the sweet pup she had seen at the Shelter. I was a little reluctant because I thought it was too soon to get another dog but she convinced me to at least go see the pup. Early the next morning we drove to the Shelter in hopes that the pup would still be there. She was and I think it was love at first sight for both of us. When I knelt down beside her crate she reached out with her paw and placed it on my hand while looking into my eyes. I melted right there. They told us she had been brought in as a stray and it broke my heart to think of her out there on her own. We became a family instantly. She fills our home with love every day and turned out to be a great frisbee dog. It's a toss up as to who rescued who!!!
