Alexandra Your Pet's Rescue Story
I knew Leo was the one for me when I met him the very first time at 4 weeks old. He was one of the last of his brothers and sisters that needed a “furrever” home.
Nobody really wanted him because he was considered one of the “runts” of the litter.
However, i fell for him the moment I saw him. In reality, he really actually was the one that saved me.
Countless days, he saves me, and continues to impress me and make my life whole.
He truly is my Angel.
From the day that I brought him home at almost 8 weeks old, he’s influenced my life for the better.
I couldn’t have asked for a better dog and “pawtner”.
Many would say that I was meant to be his human,
but it’s the other way around.
He was meant to be my dog and my protector, and also my hero.
I hope we win this contest, so I can help be an advocate for individuals with invisible disabilities,
and also for others like me whom own service dogs to help mitigate their disabilities and make life more enjoyable and worth living.
Though Leo wasn’t exactly a rescue,
I don’t see it that way.
You never know what kind of life they WOULD have lived…if you weren’t the one who had entered in their life when you did.
I like to believe everything happens for a reason,
And if I didn’t find Leo when I did, and know from that day that he was the one for me, life could have been so much different for the both of us.
So I like to believe that we both rescued each other.
Because of us having one another,
We are STRONG, and represent the strength that we all need to have.
That is our purpose in life…
To inspire people to be strong and hold on, smile, and be positive, no matter what challenges are faced.
If Leo and I can overcome troubles together, are able to be happy and smile through pain and hardships, then I believe everyone else can!
We want everyone to know that you are never alone, and there’s always light within the dark.
