Your Pet's Rescue Story
We weren’t planning on rescuing a second dog. But Macy had other plans.

The day before Thanksgiving, we saw her face, just five months old, with a shattered knee, and on her last day at Orange County Animal Services. No one had stepped up to foster. Her leg had been broken so long it had fused. We picked her up anyway. Fostered her. Nursed her through an amputation. And fell in love.

We named her after the Macy’s Day Parade. From day one, she was a little diva and a light. Full of spirit, sass, and sweetness. So happy to be in a safe loving home even while she was in pain. We foster failed hard, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Now she struts through life on three legs, showing everyone what resilience looks like. Shes always got a smile on. She’s more than our dog, she’s our joy, our reminder of why rescue matters.
