Your Pet's Rescue Story
Ruby Sue is a rescue that was found on the streets of Miami. She was rescued from the shelter by the Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee. I had originally applied with them for another Boston Terrier over 6 months prior, but that wasn't meant to be. I asked that they keep my application on file and use the fee to help the other rescues. They followed up with me in February of 2023 with the opening of the Florida Chapter. After the interview and approval process, they mentioned that there might be an issue, as she was barking/growling at visitors. I asked for an in-person meeting, which they were able to arrange. I met her on a Sunday. The foster mom was wonderful, and we sat and talked for over 2 hours. She offered to let me take Ruby for a walk and that's when we bonded. Ruby started to get a little overheated and I knelt down to comfort her. I asked her if she "wanted to come home with me and be my little girl"? That's when I got my first kiss! After that, it was done. We went back inside, and she brought me her toys and sat beside me for pets and love. She came home with me the following Friday and the rest, as they say, is history....
